Today has been Daniel's first day at his new job.
This morning, and yesterday evening as well, he was very nervous and worried; as usual he does not trust on his skills and on his qualities and this affects him by means of a lot of stress.
After several months we are both working again, we are adding new brick to our path towards a calm life together. A few minutes ago I was sitting in my bed and I thought about the past months in Sao Paulo and in San Mauro and everything seemed to me so far away from this moment we are experiencing. At the same time I feel nostalgic of our life in Brazil, of the friends we have there and glad that those days are completely over; same feeling, but even stronger, when I think about the months in Italy, because we enjoyed ourselves a lot and had no certainty for our future.
[Dan has just told me I love you twice... :-)))))))) ]
When I hear or read news from Italy I am scared and I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't taken the decision of coming to the UK. In nearly two years the Centre-Left government did not manage to change the Immigration law nor to pass any Act ruling same sex couples issue... I wonder what would happened to Daniel, a black gay, in my country, now that racism and intolerance have risen to unpredictable levels...
In some way, I am happy that the person who had promised to provide Dan with a work permit in Italy showed herself what she really is so quickly. Otherwise I would have insisted in following that way...
Let's see... I hope calm and nice days are coming. We both deserve.
